Dave Van Manen is the Founder and Director of the Mountain Park Environmental Center (www.hikeandlearn.org). Prior to opening the Mountain Park Environmental Center, Dave, along with his partner Helene, travelled nationally as a professional musician, storyteller and recording artist with a specialty in environmental music for children. Park Environmental Center, Dave provides opportunities (both "behind-the-scenes" as well as "in the field") for people of all ages and backgrounds to experience the wonders of Nature. Dave is a New York City native and is married 30+ years to his teenage sweetheart and Retreat and Business Coach Helene Van Manen. Together they have 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren. He is a naturalist, writer, reader, avid hiker and backpacker, and always a student and lover of Nature. |
